COKIQ and Google: Consent Mode v2, Tag Manager and Google Ads

COKIQ sends your visitors' consent choices to Google tags through Consent Mode v2, so GA4 and Google Ads only use cookies when a visitor allows it. This page lists what works today and where we stand with Google's CMP Partner Program.

Google CMP Partner Program: our status

COKIQ is not a Google CMP Partner yet. Google runs a free CMP Partner Program for consent platforms that integrate with Consent Mode and Google Tag Manager. Google reviews each platform and awards a badge in Bronze, Silver or Gold tiers. We are preparing our application, and we will show Google's official badge here only after Google awards it.

What works with Google today

Consent Mode v2 signals

Denied defaults are set before Google tags run. When a visitor chooses, COKIQ updates ad_storage, analytics_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization.

Google Tag Manager

An open-source COKIQ tag template for Google Tag Manager, so you can add the banner without custom code.

GA4 and Google Ads

Your Google tags read the consent state, so analytics and conversion tags respect each visitor’s choice.

Regional banners

Separate profiles for the EEA, UK, Switzerland, the US and India, plus Global Privacy Control (GPC) handling.

Consent evidence

Every choice is logged with a timestamp, region and policy version, and you can export the log as CSV or JSON.

Free scan

Scan any page to see which Google and third-party tags fire before consent.

The GTM template source is public on GitHub. Setup steps are in the Consent Mode v2 guide and the documentation.

Google Ads and Consent Mode services

Consent Mode v2 setup

We help you connect COKIQ to your Google tag or GTM container and check that the default and update commands fire in the right order.

Tag audit before launch

A scan of your key pages listing the tags and cookies that load before consent, with a fix list.

Verification

We show you how to check the consent state in Google Tag Assistant and in your GA4 and Google Ads reports.

Agencies

One dashboard for many client sites, with per-site banners and exportable consent evidence for each client.

What we don't claim

  • COKIQ is not a Google CMP Partner and does not hold a Google badge today.
  • COKIQ is not a Google-certified CMP for publishers. If you show Google AdSense, Ad Manager or AdMob ads to visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, Google requires a Google-certified CMP that uses the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. COKIQ does not offer that today.
  • COKIQ is not an IAB Europe registered CMP.
  • Using COKIQ does not by itself make a website compliant. Your banner text, settings and tags still need review.
