Install COKIQ on WordPress

Use the COKIQ WordPress plugin to add the consent banner from Settings -> COKIQ Consent after approval, or use the universal script while review is pending.

Universal script

Use this fallback on any site that supports custom HTML. Replace YOUR_SITE_KEY with the key generated in the COKIQ dashboard.

Install steps

  1. Create a COKIQ site and copy the site key for the WordPress domain.
  2. Install the COKIQ Cookie Consent plugin when it is approved on WordPress.org.
  3. Open Settings -> COKIQ Consent and paste the site key.
  4. Save settings, clear cache, and test a public page in a fresh browser.

Verify after install

  • ✓The public page loads a script from https://cokiq.com/api/s/{siteKey}.
  • ✓The banner appears without overlapping theme navigation, chat widgets, or checkout controls.
  • ✓Accept and reject actions create consent evidence in COKIQ.
